Outlook Calendar Boards
Y’all!! Have you seen Outlook Boards?!?
Before we dive in… we have a quick backstory. A few years ago we completed the Strength Finders test and we discovered something pretty remarkable. We, Jeni and Sallee, have strengths that mesh together really well! Jeni is strong in relationships, communication, and organization, while Sallee is strong in relationships, ideation, and strategy. Together we are able to relate to others, create, and communicate with strategic purpose. Jeni runs with her strengths, and Sallee trusts her and empowers her to communicate on behalf of Jenallee. Sallee runs with her strengths, and Jeni trusts her to create, brainstorm, and listen to all of her crazy ideas even the ones where she has to dance or dress up.
All that to say… that Sallee is always seeking to find new ways for her crazy ideas to be organized and Microsoft Outlook must have scanned Sallee’s brain and said, hmm you need some help 😂 They now have Outlook Boards.

Outlook Calendar Boards
Outlook Calendar Boards are AMAZING! They offer the user the ability to see current content that matters to them and organize it in a way that fits their operational style. With Boards, you can see your calendar, tasks, and even create sticky notes to house ideas, links, and much-needed content.
The content you can add to your board includes:
- Calendar
- Sticky Notes
- Task List
- Collection
- Goal
- File
- Link
- Weather
- Clock
- Person
- Location
Once you had your content you can then organize the content on the board in a way that best fits you! You can group content, spread it out across the board, and even move the board around to make it as large or small as you want. And yes, you can lock the board in place once you have it set up.
Check out this TikTok to see directions for locking the board.
Sallee cycles through the content she is working on, so the board allows her to keep all of her tasks in one place and the content for each item in a quick view to keep her on track. Sallee feels extremely productive each day and uses the board as a way to keep the content, that she might otherwise forget if it isn’t easily visible, at her fingertips.
And last but not least, you can change the colors of groups and notes!! Another great way of keeping content organized (and pretty).
Quick note: Calendar board view is not yet available to GCC/GCCH/DOD Microsoft 365 customers.

Are you using Outlook Calendar Boards? If so what is your favorite feature? We would love to know! Leave a comment below and share how you stay organized with Outlook Calendar Boards.
