Seriously. Have you Seen Screenpal?
Seriously y’all! Have you seen Screenpal?
Screenpal (from our friends at Screencast-o-matic) is a free chrome extension that allows you to record a video and place it in any text box!
Say what?!? 🤯
Quick Example:
For our blogging platform, WordPress, the Screenpal circle popped up in the text box and offered us the option of recording and popping a link to the video on the page. How awesome is that!?! If you hover over the link below or click the link, you can view the Screenpal video.

There are a million ways this comes in handy as a teacher, right!! Here are just a few ideas that pop into our heads!
- Response to student work in Canvas, Microsoft Docs, Google Docs, OneNote, etc.
- Providing directions for doing work
- Demonstrating a concept
- Video emails
- Video announcements
- Tutorials for using technology
Our favorite way to use Screenpal so far is in emails! As we receive emails asking questions throughout the day, we can quickly record tutorial videos to help teachers. It is fast and easy to use.
